About Me
I first left the United States at the age of 17, and it was on that fateful trip to Argentina that I contracted a terminal, incurable case of Wanderlust. I have been fascinated with foreign languages, foreign cultures, and especially foreign food ever since. Nearly 10 years after that first trip, I have learned 3 languages, travelled the globe, and ultimately returned to my native Texas and now call Dallas my home. These days, I freelance as an interpreter/translator and spend my free time exploring the local food scene. I hope you'll find Travels with Carly entertaining and informative. More than anything, I hope it will inspire you to try something, meet someone, do something new.
